AUCSO supports annually two individual bursary programmes. The Brian Schofield bursary and the Shed Couthard bursary, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to AUCSO.
Both bursaries are awarded annually to an AUCSO member studying for accredited training in security or related subject.
The aim of the Bursaries is to provide an opportunity each year for a person who is employed by an institution that is a member of AUCSO, to develop their personal skills by participating in a formal course of study. By studying for a formal qualification, the individual will not only develop their personal skills but will contribute to the enhancement of their own security team, department and institution. In the longer term AUCSO will also gain from the professional development of its members.
Please find below further information. Applications for both bursaries close on the 30th September 2025, the successful candidates will be informed w/c 13th October.
