DrugsTraining.com are running ‘open’ courses that individual members of staff can book onto via Zoom, but they can also provide group training for larger groups. Staff do not need to install Zoom or have an account to access the training, they receive an email with a link and they can join from any computer, laptop or tablet device.
There are three ‘open’ courses in July that individuals or small groups of staff can book onto @£89 per person. They are:
Wednesday 8th July – ‘White Lines: understanding cocaine, its risks and harm reduction
Wednesday 15th July – ‘Understanding Addiction: causes, effects and recovery’
Wednesday 22nd July – ‘Drugs Now: new substances, new trends, new issues’
The courses will run from 9.15a.m. to 12.45 p.m. To book places please click on this link: http://www.drugstraining.co.uk/course_dates.php
Those who’ve attended the Zoom training, with the ability for small group discussions and questions throughout have been pleasantly surprised by how close it was to the usual face to face training. The training that I did for the N-Gage Young Peoples Service in Newport last month went very well. Here’s a quote from Sarah Walsh the Team Leader:
‘Staff were very impressed by the quality of the Xanax training led by Liam on Zoom, especially how interactive it was’ Sarah Walsh, N-gage Service.
If you would like to reserve places for your staff on any of the ‘open’ training days then please contact Liam Watson directly.
For the larger group training they can run any of the courses listed on the website. The cost is £43 per person (based on 14 or more attending) and includes Certificates of Attendance and free subscription to the ‘Drugs now’ e-zine to ensure staff stay up to date after the training.
