Following the review of the AUCSO Resilience Guide this year, we are now able to offer places to members who have not previously participated, to attend our 2 day Resilience training. This will be held at College Court at the University of Leicester on 21 and 22 of August. The course is aimed at those who are new to emergency management and business continuity, or those who may have some experience in this but who are new to the HE sector. The course has a slant towards those in security but participants may be from Security, Facilities, Health & Safety, Communications etc. The course will cover:

  • The nature and impact of emergencies in HE
  • The Business Continuity Lifecycle
  • Approaches to Risk Management and Planning
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Communication during Emergencies
  • Recovery
  • Case Studies
  • Short desk top exercise

The full course programme will be updated and published during June but bookings for the course are open now. There is a maximum of 24 delegates for this course, so please book early. The cost for the course is £350 per delegate, which includes the training, 2 nights Dinner, Bed & Breakfast (at College Court) plus all refreshments during the two days.
