The Surveillance Camera Commissioner’s annual report to Parliament is now available to read on the gov.uk website. Universities and AUCSO are specifically mentioned on page 28 of the document. Well done to Mark Sutton at Aston University and Trevor Jones at the University of Salford for both achieving their accreditation.
Mark Sutton said “We will continue to support this and new developments as we both feel that it is the only way to ensure that our public space surveillance is fit for purpose, and compatible with legislation”.
