Upskilling our members is key for AUCSO and we are delighted to announce that we are getting ready to launch two interactive online modules in partnership with Incident Ready Consulting Ltd.

“Incident Manager Training” and “An Introduction to Business Continuity” are soon to be available via the AUCSO secure members portal.

Incident Manager Training – who is this for and what does it cover?

Aimed at University Gold and Silver team members, Security Managers, Duty Managers, Control room operatives and Security Shift team leaders. Fantastic professional development material also for those aspiring to do these roles in the future to help bring confidence and competence to an area that is increasingly being relied upon.

An Introduction to Business Continuity Training – who is this for and what does it cover?

Aimed at Security Managers, Duty Managers, Control room operatives and Security Shift team leaders. Fantastic professional development material also for those aspiring to do these roles in the future. The scenario based module helps you to consider the resilience of control room operations and reflect on planning for the consequences of real incidents on campus.

AUCSO have invested in 1,000 licenses for each course.

The courses created for AUCSO are hosted on Learnupon, an on-line platform, upon completion each candidate will receive a printable certificate.

It has been agreed that each member Institution (subject to having paid their fees for 2023) will be entitled to free places for each course based upon their membership level;

Standard member – 4 licenses per course

Enhanced member – 6 licenses per course

To enable your nominees to be enrolled on the courses, we need you to provide your Regional Chair with the following information, which will then be uploaded to create a unique log-on for each individual;

Full Name                           email address                    university

Please confirm this information to your Regional Chair by 15^th October.

You do not have to nominate same four/six colleagues for both courses.  List of nominations for each member institution should be sent by the institutions lead member.
