The RAN (Radicalisation Awareness Network), funded by the EU, brings together practitioners from around Europe working on the prevention of radicalisation. It is about sharing knowledge and experience and peer review of each other’s practices, connecting first line practitioners, experts, teachers/lecturers and academics etc. A working group met on 8-9 Feb, where AUCSO was represented by Vincent Greener, University of Salford, to discuss free speech, extremism and prevention of radicalisation in Higher Education.
