At the invitation of Lord Kennedy of Southwark, some AUCSO members were recently invited to the House of Lords to celebrate the latest group of Universities joining the ProtectEd scheme. Ollie Curran (UCL and London Chair) , Laurence Perkins (Leicester and Midlands Chair) and Trevor Jones (AUCSO Chair) all attended the House on 30th of October, with Trevor speaking to the audience about the issues surrounding Mental Health of students and young people; the emergence of ‘County Lines’ drug gangs; and the problems, other than drugs, that they bring to Universities. A great opportunity to spread the word about AUCSO too, well done all!
