I am delighted to announce that Claire Humble from Teesside University has accepted the role of Chair of the AUCSO Diversity and Equality Group*. Claire has vast experience in leading in this area from her time in the New Zealand Police. Claire will make announcements in the new year for some of her plans and will have a session at the conference in Edinburgh to put them to all of you. Welcome aboard Claire! Trevor Jones, Chair.

* This group was set up three years ago for members to share experiences and seek assistance. It tackles some sticky issues, such as recruiting and retaining those from minority groups, especially women, ethnic minorities and LGBT, into university security.
