It is my very sad duty to inform members that, despite his brave fight against cancer, our friend and colleague Brian Schofield, Head of Security at the University of Bath, passed away on Tuesday 12 November. Brian was a strong supporter and member of AUCSO for 14 years. An absolute gentleman with a fountain of knowledge, he willingly shared his expertise with colleagues and was very often the person AUCSO members turned to for advice. Brian served for several years as both the South West Regional Chair and AUCSO Treasurer. We will deeply miss his sensible presence on the Executive team as well as his charming smile and sense of humour.
