Heriot-Watt University won the In House Security Team of the Year award at the Security & Fire Excellence Awards.

Note form Les Allan: ‘I’m delighted that our SafeGuarding Service here at Heriot-Watt has won yet another high profile award as ‘In House Security Team of the Year category’ at the Security & Fire Excellence Awards this week.    This is the second consecutive year that we have won an award from the security industry leading body.  We were joined in the award by our friends Carl Martin and Danny Malone from CriticalArc;  which highlights the value of our collaboration with them and our use of SafeZone as a strategic management tool to protect our University Community.  The award also brings focus to us all in universities for the diversity of challenges we all face on a daily basis and at last the Security Industry is awakening to the fact that they can learn from us all.’
